"Duncan James Armstrong Services Planned Today"
CANOGA PARK — Services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Canoga Park Lutheran Church, Valerio St. and Jordan Ave., for Duncan James Armstrong of 8230 Owensmouth Ave., who died Friday after an extended illness. He was 62 years old.
The Rev. G. A, Chatt will be officiant and interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth.
Survivors are his widow Adelaide and three sisters, all of Canada. They are Mmes Joe Jack, Bert Eagan and Harold Gent. A brother Dave of Canada also survives.
Two other surviving brothers are Richard of 7352 Owensmouth Ave., Canoga Park and Robert of 11548 Hartsook St. North Hollywood.
Mr. Armstrong was a past president of the Canoga Park Kiwanis Club. He was active in local Chamber of Commerce activities and was instrumental in the promotion and building of the Lutheran Church of which he was an elder. He also was its first treasurer and served for seven years.
During World War II, in addition to many civic duties, he worked as chief clerk for the local ration board."
