Johnny grew up in Jackson County, with his 5 brothers.
At the age of 22, Johnny Enlisted in the Army on February 20, 1943.
On the 1945 Census Johnny is living at home, but sometime after that he marries Katheryn L. Thompson, and together they have 2 children. First they have a son Johnny, and then they have a daughter, Who they name Sue.
The marriage ended in Divorce in May of 1958 when Johnny was 37 years old. His sister-in-law Doris, tells me that neither one of them remarried. Johnny lived all of his life in Jackson County. He died on April 6, 1996 of Cancer and was laid to rest in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Jackson County, Florida.
