Pfc USMC 2nd SHMG Plt., W Co., 2nd Btln, 1st Mar Regiment, 1st MARDIV. Sacred heart school and NFA graduate. Employed Ponemah Mills and was a 3rd degree in the Knights of Columbus. Heavy machine guns weapons division of 1st regiment 1st mardiv, enlisted Feb. 1952, boot camp at Parris Island; went overseas in August following training at Camp Pendelton. (1st Taftville resident killed in War). His father (Albert served 2 years during WWII and was reactivated for 13 months during the Korean War. He was discharged ‘recently' before Gerard's death.
