Morgan & Co. Partner to be Buried in Brookline
New York, Sept. 28 -- Funeral Services for Elliot C. Bacon second youngest partner in the firm of J. P. Morgan & Co., who died suddenly on Saturday night at his home ...
Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery at Brookline, Mass., on Tuesday... The body will leave the Grand Central terminal aboard the midnight train tomorrow night. Members of the immediate family and a few intimate friends will accompany it to Brookline.
The funeral will be attended by representatives of J. P. Morgan & Co. and of the 304th field artillery, 77th division, in which Mr. Bacon served as a captain during the war.
Except for the fact that the coffin will be draped with an American flag there will be no military display.
The honorary pall-bearers, all members of the class of 1910 at Harvard University, with which Mr. Bacon was graduated will be John Chapin, John Amory, Sullivan Sargent, George Peabody Gardner and George West of Boston; ...

Mr. Bacon was a son of Robert L. Bacon, former secretary of state and was graduated from Harvard in 1910.
He is survived by a widow and four children.... he [also] leaves his mother, two brothers, Robert L. and Gaspar of Boston, and a sister, Mrs. George Whitney whose husband also is a member of the Morgan firm.
Mr. Bacon was interested in Polo and was considered one of America's most promising players.
