Age 83 Born in Detroit daughter of Dr. Hubert Edna McDonald she is survived by her daughters Vivian Thomas Kuhn of Gap Mills West Virginia and Regina of California brother Hubert Janet MacDonald of McMurry Pennsylvania and eight grandchildren Micah Kuhn Jared Tara Kuhn Esther Stephen Simmons Susanna Abigail Matthias Jonathan and Josiah Kuhn she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Pauline Barnes Kopek Dorothy was a retired educator with the Dearborn Public Schools she had a love of choral singing and was a member of a number of Metro Detroit chorale groups including the Rackam Symphony Choir the Fort Street Chorale St. Alphonsus Church Choir Dearborn and the Christ Church Grosse Pointe Chorale a memorial mass will be held on Monday June 24, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church 13540 Gould Street Dearborn Michigan a luncheon will follow her family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association the American Stroke Association or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen please share a memory at www.cremationmichigan.com
