Harvey Windsor Anderson, age 90, of Asheboro died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Anderson was born April 6, 1923 in Cooleemee, NC the son of Hugh and Beulah Creason Anderson.

Mr. Anderson attended Gospel Baptist Church and was formerly Chief of Police in Randleman. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in WWII. He enjoyed all sports especially baseball. Harvey was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his wife: Florence Eidson Anderson, son-in-law: Hal Owens, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and 1 great-great grandchild.

He is survived by one daughter: Karen A. Owens of the home, 3 grandchildren: Jeff Owens of Fayetteville, DeAnne Lawson and her husband, Michael of Franklinville, Chris Owens and his wife, Wendy of Asheboro, 9 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro and others times at his home.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Barton officiating. Entombment will be at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
