ARCOLA EDITOR'S BROTHER DIES

Arcola, Ill. -- Hearl R. Bailey, 61, a former resident of Arcola and a brother of J.D. Bailey, editor of the Arcola Record-Herald, died Wednesday in Chicago Heights after an illness of several years. For the past three months he had been receiving treatment in Chicago hospitals.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Arcola Baptist church, with Rev. Casper J. Allen officiating. Burial will be in Arcola cemetery.

Mr. Bailey was born near Shelbyville, Ind., a son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Bailey. He moved to Arcola in 1903. He was employed by the State of Illinois in the construction and maintenance of improved roads and later with the Illinois Central System as a locomotive fireman. For the past three years he had been employed in LaPorte, Ind.

Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Nelle Boland; a son, Jack Edward of South Bend, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Hall of Champaign; a sister, Mrs. Alfred Hamilton of Tuscola, and his brother in this city.
