E. Muriel L'Amoreaux, 78, formerly of Glen Rd., Berkshire, and Long Meadows Apartments, Owego, died May 5, 1997.

She was the daughter of the late Harry and Emma MacIntyre of Willseyville.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harry "Whitey" L'Amoreaux; and brothers, Edmund and Duncan MacIntyre.

She is survived by her seven children: Robert (Brenda), Berkshire, William (Kathy), Newark Valley, Dean (Cheryl), Ithaca, Marvin (Kathy), Whitney Point, Adelaide (Gerald) Hover, Newark Valley, Diane (Robert) Whittaker, Brooktondale, and Ellen Terboss, Endicott; 22 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; two cousins; her sisters-in-law, Marion L'Amoreaux, Clara L'Amoreaux (James) Palmer, and Verna MacIntyre; a brother-in-law, Nathan (Louise) L'Amoreaux.

She worked briefly at Burt's Department Store in Endicott.

She and her husband moved to Zephyrhills, Fla. after his retirement from IBM. After his death in 1983, Muriel returned to Owego.

A Memorial Service was held at the Willseyville Baptist Church. The Rev. Lee Mead officiated. Burial in Smith Valley Cemetery, Willseyville.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Owego Emergency Squad, Box 22, Owego, N.Y.
