THURMONT, Md. - Ruth Amanda Jackson, 93, of 21 Howard St., and formerly of Myersville, Md., died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, at Frederick Healthcare Center.

Born April 17, 1904, in Myersville, she was the daughter of the late John Nicholas and Mary Frances Ford Adkins.

She was preceded in death by
her husband, Charles Frederick Jackson, in 1959.

She was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville for 75 years.

She is survived by
one daughter, Helen I. Shank of Thurmont;
one son, James N. Jackson of Myersville;
14 grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren; and
20 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by
two daughters,
Elsie M. Leatherman and
Mary V. Weddle.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville. The Rev. Tracy L. Wiser, her pastor, and the Rev. Ronald A. Beverlin, pastor of Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, Myersville, will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Myersville.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and anytime Monday at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, Md.; and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church. The family will receive friends Sunday and Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Harmony Church of the Brethren, c/o Lois Willard, 3910 Highland Ave., Myersville, Md. 21773.
