1910 US Census, living as boarder with Frank and Hattie Pierce at Swan Lake, Holt, Nebraska

Sometime between 1910 and 1923 he moved to Spokane, Washington and took work at a dairy.
1 Oct 1913 in Spokane, Washington, he married Bertha Isabelle Moss, daughter of Isaac and Isabelle (Waters) Moss.

On 19 June 1914 their son Forest M Sammons was born.
