Mrs. Christie Eister Died at Lavelle, Funeral Sunday
Mrs. Christie Eister, 86, of Lavelle, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Christie Fertich, Lavelle,
yesterday as the result of advancing age and complications. She was ill for the past eleven weeks.
Her husband, Wilson Eister, preceded her in death 39 years ago. She was a member of the
Evangelical Congregational Church, Lavelle. She was born February 18, 1855.
Funeral services will be held Sunday with a short service at the home and further services at the
Evangelical Congregational Church, Lavelle. Rev. J.H. Tice, pastor of the church, will be in charge.
Interment will be made in the Lavelle cemetery.
To survive she leaves the following: Five sons, Joseph Seltzer, of Pottsville; Calvin, Daniel and
Peter, of Lavelle; Lewis, of Locust Dale; one daughter, Mrs. Christie Fertich, of Lavelle. She is also
survived by forty-one grandchildren and fifty-two great-grandchildren.
