Linn County Leader, MO - June 1977: Elwood Duncan "Buck" Austin, 65, died Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 1977, at his home, in Marceline, MO. Mr. Austin was born April 1, 1912, in Linn County, MO, west of Bucklin, MO, Son of Don E. and Grace (Duncan) Austin. He was retired from Walsworth Publishing Company, after 30 years, retiring April 1977. He was an ARMY AIR FORCE Veteran of World War II. Mr. Austin is survived by 3 Sisters, Mrs. Eldrege (Iva) Hays , Mrs. Roy (Ruby) Hanson, both of Bucklin, MO, and Mrs. John (Fern) Lineberry, of Mexico, MO; 1 Step-Brother, Raymond Main, of Bucklin, MO; 4 Nieces and 4 Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, June 10, 1977, at Louis V. Scudiero and Son Funeral Home, of Bucklin, MO, with the Rev. Richard S. Golden officiating. Interment was in the Bucklin Masonic Cemetery, Bucklin, MO.
