Antnett Idell Braden, age 97 of Livingston, CA, passed away in Turlock, CA at Elness Convalescent Hospital on Sunday, February 22nd. She was born in Kosse, Texas to parents Joseph and Antnett Leamons. While living in Oakland, CA in the 1940s and 1950s, she was a leader in the Cub Scouts, Brownies and Girl Scouts. Idell was active in the PTA and served as president of the PTA for 1 year. She owned and operated a laundromat in Turlock for 5 years. While living in Lathrop, CA, she participated in the PTA and was active in the incorporation of Lathrop as a city. She was also active with the Senior Citizens Center and worked at the polling stations. Idell is survived by her son David B. Braden (Carol), three daughters, Barbara Van Wert (Earl), Beverly Braden, Gale Mink (Doug) and daughter-in-law Glenda Braden. She is also survived by grandchildren Bryan, Wayne, Michael, David, Shelia, Rebecca, Tammy, Earl B., Vickie, William, Harley, Debbie, Laura, April, Holly, Tony and Penny, 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Idell was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harvey Beryl Braden and their son, Harvey Franklyn Braden. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a chapel service on Thursday the 26th at 1:30 PM, both to be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe, Hughson, CA.
