W. W. Cassity

STAMPING GROUND, June 21 --- W. W. Cassity, 87, retired funeral director of Adams and Cassity Funeral Home, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday after a lingering illness.

The son of the late J. W. and Nancy Bridges Cassity, he was an elder of the Stamping Ground Christian Church. He was a graduate and a former trustee of the College of the Bible, Lexington.

Survivors include the widow, Amanda Taylor Cassity; one son, J. C. Cassity, Stamping Ground; one daughter, Mrs. Sewell C. Harlin, Glasgow; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. (CDT) Sunday at the Adams and Cassity Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester Heinzman, assisted by the Rev. W. G. Webster. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be James McLaughlin, Palmer Riddle, Kirtley C. Hall, George Gaines, C. G. Hockensmith, John M. Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of the Christian Church.
