Carol Jean West Ferrell, 44, of Beaver died June 6, 1997, in Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital after a long illness. She was retired from Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital with 23 years' service as a respiratory therapist and EKG technician. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Beckley College. Surviving: husband, Calvin E. Ferrell; mother, Jean E. Stone West of Prosperity; brother, David G. West of Prosperity; niece, Laura West of Prosperity; nephew, David Lee West of Prosperity. Service will be 1 p.m Monday at Rose & Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Bill Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
