Based on military documents available, Reuben was in the Seventh Confederate Cavalry (Claiborne's Regiment. Partisan Rangers; 7th Regiment, Confederate Partisan Rangers). He enlisted July 1862 at Mocksville, NC for a period of 3 years. According to his physical description he was 22 years of age, blue eyes, light hair and 6' 4" tall.
He died in the hospital at Wilson, NC on 30 May 1863 of Typhoid.

Cemetery was termed about 2000 in Iredell County Cemetery Books as being 'Lost-Abandoned'. Thanks to Larry Campbell for cemetery for re-discovering in June 2014!
