Mrs. William Van Benthem, 83, of Sioux City, died Sunday at a nursing home after a long illness.
Funeral services were held here at 1:30 p.m. at the Van Etten Funeral Home, with burial in the Westlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Benthem, the former Faye VanPelt, was born February 1, 1877, at Orange City, and was married to Mr. Van Benthem in 1899.
They lived near Orange City until 1950 when they moved to Sioux City. He died in August 1964.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harry Baumeester of Sioux City and Mrs. Carl Silkebakken of Miami, Fla,; a son, Richard of Santa Barbara, Calif.; four brothers, Lane Van
Pelt of Glendale, Calif., Rudolph Van Pelt of Bellflower, Calif., Andrew Van Pelt of Orange City and H.E. Van Pelt of Sioux City; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
