Adeline O. Malanowski, 81, of Lorain, died Thursday June 20, 2013 at her home. She was born January 26, 1932 in Cleveland, grew up in Sheffield Village and had resided in Lorain most of her life. Adeline was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, needlepoint and crocheting. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Raymond, children John (Lisa) Malanowski of Lorain, Debbie (Stephen) Braegger of Grafton and Ken (Laura) Malanowski of Florence Township, grandchildren Rachael (Jon) Salter, David (Leah) Malanowski, Stephanie (Greg) Chavalia, Stacey (Jeremy) Vince, Brandon and Kristyn Malanowski, great grandchildren Ava, Zach, Ryan, Emma, Evan and Isaac and sisters Fran Lesniak and Sally Parkison. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Robert Glepko, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Memorial contributions can be made to the Nativity BVM Catholic Church Building Fund, 418 W. 15th St, Lorain, OH. 44052.
