Daniel J. Braley, 53 of Sanford, Michigan, died Thursday morning, June 20, 2013 at the MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born December 6, 1959 in Midland, son of Robert J. Braley, Sr. and the late Doris Braley.
A graduate of Sanford Meridian, he had been employed with Three Rivers Corporation over 30 years. On June 2, 1979 he married the former Belinda Gail Hayes in Sanford. Daniel was a hard worker with a big heart; he loved his Harley, snowmobiling and most of all, his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Kapre Braley of Detroit and Kedra Braley of Sanford; grandchildren, Nevaeh and Anaiyah; brother, Robert and Sue Braley of Gladwin; sisters, Sandee and Harold Lefler of Sanford, Sharon Krahn of Gladwin, Joyce and Frank Swartzmiller of Edenville; several nieces and nephews, and by his friend: Andrea Tracy. In addition to his mother, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Belinda Braley on July 20, 2001; and by his nephew, Stephen Braley.
Funeral services for Daniel will take place 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2012 from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Pastor Christopher Lauckner will officiate with interment to follow in Hope Cemetery.
Daniel's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and again on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
