Amanda Sroufe, daughter of George Sroufe and Rebecca Dunn of Yellow Springs, OH, married first David Chambers Baum. Upon his early death, she inherited a large estate, her title to which was successfully defended by Aaron Harlan (1802-1868), whom she married 08 Sep 1842 in Greene county OH. Aaron became a Congressman from Ohio, the couple moved to San Francisco in 1864 and both died in early 1868, within six weeks of each other. Originally interred in Laurel Hill, then moved to Cypress Lawn, then moved to Fernwood in Sausalito CA.
