ILLINOIS CITY, Ill. - Ralph E. Keller, 90, of Illinois City, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Lutheran Homes in Muscatine.

Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Illinois City United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Illinois City Cemetery Association.

Ralph E Keller was born on December 31, 1920, in Drury Reynolds Township, the son of Omer and Lillie (Vassar) Keller.

On November 15, 1942, he was united in marriage to Lila R. Tomlin in Illinois City.

Ralph was a lifelong farmer and retired from John Deere in 1980 after 18-years. Ralph also farmed the Centennial farm that was purchased by his grandfather around 1890.

He was a member of the Illinois City United Methodist Church for 81 years where he held various positions, including lay delegate to annual conference for twenty years. Ralph was the former leader of the

4-H club, served on the Rock Island County Fair Board, Rock Island County Farm Bureau Board, and also served as the past president of the Illinois Cemetery Association.

He really enjoyed singing with the Frank Clark Band with Charles and Friends.

Ralph will be deeply missed by his wife, Lila, of Illinois City; two sons, Neal Keller and his wife, Barbara, of Illinois City and Monte Keller and his wife, Mary, of Illinois City; one daughter, Janis Reddick of Rock Island, Ill.; two granddaughters, Jennifer Cardenas and Manda Reddick; one great-granddaughter, Alexia Cardenas, step-grandchildren, Jason (Kessille) Gedye, Terri Gedye, Jennifer and husband, Matt Drobney, 8 step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brian, one granddaughter, Pamela, and one brother, Malcolm Keller.
