William W. Post, 40, of 2337-42nd St., Two Rivers, a crane operator at Manitowoc Engineering, died shortly before 9 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, as a result of injuries received at the plant Friday morning.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Post was born in the Town of Carlton, Kewaunee County, Nov. 6, 1929, a son of the late Albert and Mrs. Catherine Rohr Post Engeldinger. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He married the former LaVerne Gerhard at Algoma June 28, 1952, the couple moving to Two Rivers in 1954. Since 1956 he had been a crane operator at Manitowoc Engineering.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Melvin Lessmiller of Green Bay and Mrs. Lloyd Schmidt of Burlington, Wis., three brothers, Robert and Milton of Two Rivers and Delmar Post of Manitowoc; his stepfather, Nick Engeldinger of Denmark, and three step-brothers, Victor Engeldinger of Two Rivers and Bernard and George Engeldinger of Denmark.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday were memorial services will be at 8 p.m.
