Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Georgetown Cemetery.

Dorothy Gene Rose Carr of Georgetown, Idaho passed away at her home on Friday, June 21, 2013. Dorothy was born on September 12, 1925 in Wapello, the daughter of Irven Lee and Violet Ilene John Rose.

She married Emmett Eugene Lucas in 1948. They were later divorced.

She married Walter E. Carr June 10, 1961. He passed away on June 28, 2003.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Dorothy enjoyed camping, reading and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Michael and Christina Carr of Georgetown and five daughters, Violet Legarza of Etna Wyo., Barbara and Curtis Munson of Meridian, Idaho, Dorothy and Melvin Tramp of Tyhee, Idaho, Crystal and Robert Leavitt of Soda Springs, Patricia and Ralph Hopkins of Soda Springs. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Carr and a brother Irven Ray Rose, one son David Lee Lucas, one son in-law Mike Legarza, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Granny Carr was a loving soul that deeply loved her family, she was the center of our families love and she will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 11 a.m. at the Georgetown Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
