Cause Of Death: (Auto Accident)
Kelbi is my cousin on my mother's side. She was so beautiful, kind, smart and enjoyed life.She is so loved and will be forever missed by many.

Funeral services for Kelbi Yvonne Mathis, 16, Troup, were held June 14, at the First Baptist Church, Whitehouse with Mark Cason, Steve Oakes, and Ray Mahaffey officiating. Burial was in the Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Miss Mathis died Saturday, June 11, in Smith County near Whitehouse. She was born January 22, 1989 in Henderson to Rodney and Linn Brownlee Mathis and had lived in this area all her life. She was a Junior at Troup High School and was active with the Spirit of Tyler. She was a member of the Mt Carmel Baptist Church, Whitehouse.

She is survived by her parents, Rodney and Linn Mathis, Troup; a sister, Sophia Suedรจ Capron, Las Vegas, Nevada; grandparents, Shirley Mathis, Tyler, Kenneth Mathis, Troup, and Helen Brownlee, Whitehouse; a step grandfather, Gerald Lyon, Whitehouse; aunts and uncles, Terri Mathis, and David Mathis, both of Tyler, Mike Mathis, Portland, Oregon, Terry Brownlee, and Linda Brownlee, both of Nebraska; cousins, Jeremy Smith, Tyler, Jacob Mathis, Maryland, and Jennifer Brownlee, Colorado.

Pallbearers were Darryl McKinney, David Matheny, Tommy Callicutt, Matt Nelson, John Braswell, Richard O'Steen, Kristopher Martino, Charles Kirby and Robert Adams.
