Ada Lee Isom, 81, of Galax passed away at her home on Thursday, June 20, 2013. She was born in Grayson County, VA on September 27, 1931 to Ed Billings & Lula Tillie Billings. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Penn Isom. She is survived by her daughters & son-in-law, Patty Hampton & Melvin Garcia and Wanda Jones all of Galax; grandchildren, Michael Hampton, Darren Hampton, Alex Garcia and Tyler Garcia; great grandchildren, Madox Hampton, Brooke Hampton and Logan Hampton; sisters & brothers-in-law: Rosa & Hobert Mays of Galax; Treva Roberts of Fries; Velin & Clayton Carico of Fries; brothers, Jay Billings, George Billings and Charlie Billings all of Galax. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service was held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Brother Max Combs officiating. Burial followed in the Galax City Cemetery.
