Edward H. Curry, 80, of 2914 Ohio Ave., died Friday, June 24, 2005, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Webster County, Ky., the son of Ben L. and Mattie Marie Capps Curry. He was an over-the-road truck driver for most of his adult life, driving for Ace Doran Trucking in Louisville, Ky., for 20 years. He had lived in Madison for the past 35 years. He was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church in Webster County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, stock car races and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving are his wife, Marcella B. Erdman Curry, whom he married Oct. 28, 1944; one daughter, Donna Denning, and one son, Darrel Curry, both of Madison; one grandson; one great-grandson; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debby Welch, Nov. 7, 1995; one son, Dennis L. Curry, June 21, 2002; and two brothers, James and Robert Curry.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home, with burial in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Ky.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT Tuesday at the funeral home.
A flag presentation will be conducted at the graveside.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hospice of King's Daughters' Hospital. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
