Sanford July 26- Funeral rites for Joseph B Buchanan 74 were held at the home in Jonesboro Monday afternoon. Rev D L Fouts pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Shallow Well Cemetery.
Mr Buchanan who died Sunday afternoon at his home following an illness of several months was one of Lee County's most prominent citizens. He had been in the merchantile business in Jonesboro for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife Mrs Lois Harrington Buchanan, four sons, and three daughters.
