RICHFIELD - Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Joe Haden Frye, 74, died July 23, 1988 in a Richfield hospital.

Born March 8, 1914 in Noel, Missouri to James Albert and Hannah Irene Parker Frye. He joined the CCC Camps coming to Utah in 1935. He met Myrle Lillian Syddall; they were married December 12, 1936 in Richfield. Worked as a freight manager in Salt Lake and Kanab for 19 years. Member of the Richfield Volunteer Fire Dept. for 40 years. Member Richfield Lions Club. He joined the LDS Church in 1957; worked in the scouting program as a merit badge counselor. Owner-operator of a trailer park in Richfield for the past 20 years.

Survived by wife, Richfeild; children, Mrs. Allen (Rita Coy) Willard, Gunnison; Mrs. John (Mae Loye)Lowney, Kalispell, Mont.; Teddy Joe Frye, Kearns; Ronny Dell Frye, West Valley City; Val James Frye, Taylorsville; Shon Dan Frye and Mrs, Kelly (Judy) Stewart, both Richfield; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; mother, Hannah Grye; sister, Mrs. William (Stella Mae) Lorensen, both Righfield.

Funeral services Wednesday, July 27, 11 a.m. in the Richfield 10th Ward Chapel, 10 South 200 East. Friends may call for viewling at Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, at the church, 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial, Richfield Cemetery.
