Mrs. J. Malley is Summoned At Local Hospital
Funeral Services Will Be Conducted Saturday Morning
An Illness of two months duration was culminated by death yesterday afternoon
at one o’clock at St. Mary’s Hospital for Mrs. James Malley , a resident of this city since 1900.
The decedent was born at Corydon, Indiana December 10, 1869. As Lyda
Rainbolt her marriage with James P. Malley occurred In January 1892, at
New Albany, Indiana. One child was born to this union, a son, Edward, who
died October 30, 1918. In 1900 the family came to Streator where they have
resided ever since. The family home is at 206 East Broadway .
Mrs.. Malley was a devout member of the Immaculate Conception Church where
she was an active worker until her health would no longer permit her to be such.
Her gracious mannerisms endeared her to a host of friends .
In addition to her husband, she leaves to survive two grandchildren, Margaret and Ned, both of whom she has mothered from childhood, and one sister, Mrs. Sena McCullum of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The body will repose in the Solon Chapel where friends may view Mrs. Malley tonight and until time for the service tomorrow morning. Rites will be conducted at 8:30 o’clock from the chapel and at 9 o’clock from the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will take place in St. Mary's cemetery.
