Winker, 63, of LaSalle Avenue, died Friday (Dec. 1, 1989) in Niagara Falls Memorial Center.
A Niagara Falls native, he served in the Army Air Forces during World War II and retired in 1985 after working for the Gazette for 43 years.
He was active in various baseball and bowling leag
ues and was a coach for the LaSalle Little League.
Survivors include four daughters, Wendy Brown of Jacksonville, N.C., Linda Zey, Jerri Dudek and Vandy Palazzo; a sister, Marilyn Fitzsimmons, and six grandchildren.
