Dean Adams Bray, 73, Beaufort, South Carolina, died February 1, 2002. He was born January 20, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Frank Nelson and Jeanne Elizabeth Bray. He was a graduate of Auburn University.

During his military career, he received the Bronze Star with three oak leaf cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, and the Vietnam Staff Service Medal.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Bray, Beaufort; a son, Michael Bray, Duluth, GA; daughters, Sharron Reeves and Sandra Wilson, both of Duluth; stepsons, Bryan Driskell, Fayetteville, Bradley Driskell and Christopher Driskell, both of McDonough; and 13 grandchildren.

Services were at the Port Royal Baptist Church. Interment at Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors. Copeland Funeral Home, Beaufort, S. C., was in charge.
