LINCOLN MAN'S SUFFERINGS EQUAL THE TRIALS OF JOB Jacob Dial Had Been Afflicted for Fourteen Years Before Death Released Him Jacob Nelson Dial died at his home on North Sherman street Monday morning at 12:30 o'clock after a period of sufferings that rivaled the trials of Job in the good old biblical days. For fourteen years Mr. Dial had been a sufferer of rheumatism and a good portion of the time he had been bed ridden. He was not able to walk and his helpless condition was pitiful. Despite all his afflictions, Mr. Dial was cheerful and hopeful and grim disease never fully conquered his good humor. Mr. Dial was born in Kentucky and was a farmer boy by occupation . He came to Lincoln only a few years ago with his family. Mr. Dial was aged 55 years, 1 month and 16 days at the time of his death. Surviving the deceased are the wife, five sons and three daughters, all the children being grown. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p. m. at the Christian church.
