Mrs. Linkeman Rites Sunday
Mrs. Theresa E. Linkeman, 81, Route 6, Edwardsville, died at 10 P.M. Friday in the Madison County Nursing Home where she had been a patient for the past 2 1/2 years.
Mrs. Linkeman was a homemaker and a resident of the Edwardsville area for the last 44 years. Prior to that she lived for 28 years in the Granite City area, where she was born on July 4, 1888.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lena Bange Epping, and was married to Herman C. Linkeman on July 23, 1916, in St. Elizabeth's Church, Mitchell.
Mr. Linkeman preceded her in death on July 25, 1967.
Surviving are four sons and two daughters: Herbert E. Linkeman, Alvin H. Linkeman, and Mrs. Arthur (Mabel) Chatham, all of Route 6, Edwardsville, Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Karrick, of Whitehouse, Ohio, Charles W. Linkeman, of Fairfax, Va., and Ralph F. Linkeman of Charlotte, Mich.
Also surviving are a brother, Edward Epping, Granite City, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Angeline) Kirsch, Kansas City, Mo., 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Linkeman was preceded in death by one daughter.
She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Wood River,
Friends may call after 2 P.M. Sunday at the Lesley Marks Funeral Home. A scripture service will be held at 8 P.M. Monday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be said at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday in St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Wood River, the Rev. Robert Porter, associate pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville Township.

Pallbearers at the funeral services Tuesday for Theresa E. Linkeman were Danny, Kenneth, and Dennis Linkeman, Terry Karrick, and Glen and Donald Chatham. Services were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Wood River. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, with the Lesley Marks Funeral Home in charge.
