Wanda--Verna M. Linkeman, 85, died at 6:30 A.M. Saturday, Sept. 7, 1991, at Anna Henry Nursing Home in Edwardsville.
She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church of Wood River.
Born Dec. 18, 1905, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Agnes (Range) Watcher.
She married Roy H. Linkeman Nov. 7, 1925, in Mitchell. He died July 12, 1978.
Surviving are three daughters, Jean Nekola and Shirley Sethaler, both of Edwardsville, and Carol Brown of Rosewood Heights; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Jacob Wachter, both of Granite City; and four sisters, Lucille Hoekstra, Marguerite Batson and Ila Fischer, all of Wood River, and Dorothy Willaredt of Granite City.
Preceding her in death were a son, Roy Linkeman; a grandson; and a sister, Marcella Krauskopf.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville, with a scripture service at 6 P.M.
A funeral Mass is at 10 A.M. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Wood River, with the Rev. Richard L. Paynic as celebrant.
Burial is in Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
