Born Elena Ana Margarita Berni, she was daughter of the painter Antonio Berni and his first wife, the French sculptress Paule Cazenave; in 1931, they decided returned to Argentina. She was the muse of his father for dozens of works. Until her death, she was the sole heir of her father, and in 2012 she donated two important works to the National Museum of Fine Arts. She died single and childless.
