Wilhelmina "Minnie" TESKE born 2 January 1869 in Paris Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia was the daughter of Johann TESKE and Elisabeth KELM.

Minnie at the age of 16 with her parents and siblings; Gottlieb, Ferdinand, Gottfried, Samuel and Daniel, immigrated to America via the Port of Antwerp, Belgium aboard the SS "Belgenland" and arrived at the Port of New York, New York (Castle Garden) on the 9th of May 1885.

Wilhelmina married Adam SCHMIDT on the 9th of February 1890 in Tripp, Hutchinson County, South Dakota. The couple was blessed with 7 children; Gottlieb, Paul F, Henry Gottlieb, Samuel, Bertha, Christ and Pauline Christine.
