Kathleen M. Lyerla, 84, of West Frankfort passed away at 2:25 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 17, 1929 in Elkhart, Indiana to Charles and Edna (Pletcher) Marks.

She married Everette Lyerla and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2003.

Survivors include a daughter, Rachel (Bernard) Johnson of West Frankfort; three grandchildren, Angela (Brian) Beery of West Frankfort, Christopher (Debra) Johnson of Herrin and Michelle Lyerla of Elkhart Ind.; five great grandchildren; one sister Jean Grames of St. Louis, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everette; son, Michael Lyerla and five brothers and sisters.

She was of the Methodist Faith and a homemaker.
