Raymond L. Loomis, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Covington Manor Nursing Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Deerfield, OH, Raymond worked in maintenance at Canterbury School for 25 years. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Raymond also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Loomis of Fort Wayne; son, Lowell "Sam" (Gina) Loomis of Fort Wayne; daughter, Malinda "Lindy" (Allen Meredith) Eversole of New Haven; daughter, Lori Munding of Fort Wayne; brother, Glenn (Mary) Loomis of Dalton, OH; brother, Walter (Evelyn) Loomis of Osceola, IN; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Harlow and Vernice Loomis, sisters, Twila Abbuhl and Dorothy Stanton.
