Thorsten was born about 1709, probably in Oymark, Ostfold, Norway. He was the son of Ole Anonby and Siri Eriksdatter. He married Ingrid Gundersdatter Krosby on March 2, 1746 in the church in Rodenes, Ostfold. Thorsten and Ingrid had seven children and lived on the Anonby farm in Oymark. Ingrid died in June of 1793, Thorsten died in December. He died on the Anonby farm and was buried in the churchyard at Oymark on December 24.
