He was born Dec. 17, 1902, in Centralia, Mo., to Frank Sr. and Mary Pelsue Smith.
He is survived by one brother, Norman H. of Milwaukee, Wis.; seven sisters, Mrs. Wallace (Blanche) Garman of Peoria, Irene Schmidt of Peoria, Bessie Place of Milwaukee, Iona Wild of Peoria, Frances Burris of Winston, Ore.; Margaret Cunningham of Morton and Mrs. James (Clara) Reynolds of Brownsville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
He worked in the foundry at Caterpillar Inc. for 21 years before retiring.
He was a member of Grace Temple Assembly of God Church in Morton.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
