Mrs. Alice I. Beck, 83, of 665 W. Chestnut St., died at Lancashire Hall, Neffsville, Sunday after an illness of seven weeks. She was a charter member of Ross Street United Methodist Church, and was formerly employed at the Stehli Silk Mill. Born in Akron, Mrs. Beck was a daughter of the late Christian and Elizabeth Leid Zwally. She was the widow of Charles A. Beck. She is survived by five children: Mary L., wife of Edward Fry, Willow Street; William Fred Waltman, Lancaster; Ruth, wife of Robert Metzler, Bridgeport, W.Va.; Helen, wife of Frank L. Russell, Lancaster, and Robert J. Beck, Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and a brother, Lloyd Zwally, Lancaster. (Lancaster New Era - Sep 12, 1977)
