Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle E. Welch, who died Feb. 3 at Collins Memorial Hospital, were held Feb. 5 from Bybee & Davis funeral home with Rev. George I. Yetter officiating. Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Rankin, Lloyd Welch, Myron Welch, Everett Welch, Carpenter Morkert and Vernon Hill. Mrs. Mary Ellen Hall, organist, accompanied Mrs. Esther Miller, soloist.
Myrtle Edna, daughter of William and Lois Burnett Morkert, was born Jan. 29, 1884 in Marion County. She was married to Ora Welch, Jan. 13, 1904 and lived her married life in the Flagler and Dallas areas. She had lived in Knoxville since 1944. She was a, lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Floyd (Fern) Jones of Columbia, Mrs. Paul (Mable Crabb, of Tracy and Mrs. Raymond (Doris) Vinson, Knoxville; one son, Delmer of San Jose, Calif.; one brother, Raymond Morkert, Shelton Wash.; one sister Mrs. Mary Mark of Auburn, Wash,; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
