She was born in Core, on June 28, 1915, daughter of the late Otis and Rosa Tennant Yost.
She was formerly a nurse at West Virginia University Hospital and a member of the Westover United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bowers; four sisters, Goldie Eddy, Sylvia Eddy, Maxine Yost and Florence Yost; and two brothers, Robert Yost and Willis Yost.
Friends may call at the Davidson-Mancinelli Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m., Monday and on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 9-10 a.m., the time of service, with the Rev. O. Ken Sims II officiating. Burial will be in Eddy Cemetery. Davidson-Mancinelli Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
