Excerpt--Donald Reanse Ayersman, Sr., 90, of Morgantown died April 17, at Sundale Nursing Home, after a breif illness. He was born Oct. 21, 1904, in Rowlesburg, s/o the late Philip and Myrtle Davis Ayersman. He was formerly employed by Friends Clover Farm and was retired from Montgomery Wards Co. He was named Outstanding West Virginian and received national recognition from former president Ronald Reagen in 1984 for his community service. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Dotson Ayersman; two sons, Ronald Lee Ayersman of Scottsdale, AZ., and Donald R. Ayersman, Jr. of Morgantown; four daughters, Mrs. David (Dolly) McCrobie, Sr., of Reseda, Ca., Mrs. John (Rose Annis) Murray of Lancaster, Ca., and Mrs. Bruce (Deborah) Felton and Mrs. Bradley (Kimberly) Calandrelli, both of Morgantown; a step-son, Bailey E. Dotson of Santa Ynez, Ca. He was preceded in death by two wives, Alberta Koontz Walk and Ethel Stump Ayersman; a son in infancy, Ricky Allen Ayersman, two brothers and a sister. Burial was in the Lawnwood Cemetery, Morgantown.
