Funeral services for M.C. Legge, 90, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Chapel with Rev. Hubert Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Mr. Legge passed away June 21, 2013 in Gainesville.

Mr. Legge was born in Groesbeck, TX on December 8, 1922. In 1948, following his service in the U.S. Navy during the Second World War, Mr. Legge married Doris Finch in Corsicana, TX. Mr. Legge worked for Bethlehem Steel in Corsicana before he and Mrs. Legge moved to Gainesville in 1959 for work at National Supply. Mr. Legge was a member and long-serving deacon of First Baptist Church. Always known to lend a helping hand, Mr. Legge will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include: wife, Doris Legge of Gainesville; niece, Mary Anderson of Denham Spring, LA; nephew, Joe Loofbourrow of Oklahoma City, OK; and many dear friends.

Mr. Legge was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elsie Hughes and two sisters.
