Mrs. Martha Frye Spainhour, 102, of Clemmons, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 23, 1912 in Forsyth County to Nancy Colbert Frye and William M. Frye. Mrs. Spainhour was a former member of Jonestown Baptist Church and was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was the last of twelve children and was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo W. Spainhour and a son, Thomas Alton Spainhour and his wife Stella Lowery Spainhour. Surviving are a granddaughter, Martha Willis (Gary) of Clemmons; a grandson, William "Bill" Monroe Spainhour of Smithfield, NC; two great grandchildren, Ginny and Jack Willis and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the former location of Jonestown Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Byrum officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
