Jack was the coolest guy I knew while I was growing up in the sixties. He was my mother's first cousin and when he came to visit he drove a Camaro Super Sport that I loved. He would play "boogie woogie" on our piano and play games with me. He was so handsome and just so cool, funny and kind. I will really miss him.

I will always remember the 'sparkle' in his eyes, the little wink and chuckle as he made a little inside joke. He will always be in my heart, especially during Christmas, as he truly loved this wonderful time of year, listening to the Christmas music of the old days past. He loved gardening, making his house a 'perfect place to live', always remodeling and making improvements. He worked with his father and brother in a family owned business, starting with 'Deals Rugs & Upholstery', he carried on the family business name 'Deal' after his father, Wayne Harold Deal passed away. In time he changed the business to Deal's Interior Decorating, which finally transformed into Fireplace Creations. Many good business years to be remembered at 825 West 'H' St., in Colton. He had many hobbies which included fishing, gardening, flower arranging, photography, played the drums, tap danced, even performing on stage with Bob Hope. He loved building & flying remote controlled airplaines, some very large. He was like a kid thrilled to fly the planes he built, eatching the plane 'Taxi for Take-off', make it's flight and come back in for a 'perfect landing', with a 'sparkle' in his eyes and the biggest smile on his face! He loved having fun, enjoying the moment. For Jack, it was a 'Big Kick' for the little boy that always remained in his heart, enjoyinh all the things he loved to do, as well as Christmas time, in his home and with his family. Many of the wonderful treasures he collected were displayed all around his beautiful backyard, completely transformed from the days he knew as a young boy with chickens running around the yard. He also changed the patio where he stood as a young man, with his father, Wayne Deal, and brother, Dick Deal 're-upholstering furniture'.....now transformed into a beautiful and inviting patio with a brick fireplace and barbecue where he loved to entertain guests! Dancing and playing drums describe the enthusiasm Jack had lived with and shared with others throughout his life. Jack loved sharing time with those he loved and knowing he could make others smile. He had a gentle heart and always tried to smile and make the best of sad times.
