Falls Native Moved to Florida in 1981
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. - Joseph S. Aceti, 44 of Autumn Trail, died Sunday (October 5, 1997) in the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
The Niagara Falls native was born April 26, 1953, the son of Maria F. (Caruso) Aceti of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and the late Joseph M. Aceti.
In 1971, he graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School.
Mr. Aceti worked for the city of Niagara Falls in the parks department. After moving to Florida in 1981, he worked for Goodwill Industries. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing hockey with his brothers.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Marylynn Aceti of Niagara Falls; five brothers, Salvatore Aceti of Grand Island, Lawrence Aceti and Michael Aceti, both of Niagara Falls, and Christopher Aceti and Patrick Aceti, both of Palm Beach, Fla.; his grandmother, Ida Aceti of Niagara Falls; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m Thursday at the M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th Street, where vigil prayers will be recited Thursday. Services will be at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel, and Monsignor Richard Amico will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
