Admiral Dewey Tidline (colored), 54, who resided in Galax, died in Piedmont sanatorium, at Burkeville in Nottaway county, Friday, September 25.
Born in Grayson county, the deceased was a son of Mrs. Mattie Tidline Brown, Galax. Surviving are three brothers, Sam Tidline and Alonzo Tidline, both of Galax, and Cebert Tidline, Cleveland, Ohio and two half-sisters, Hattie Brown, Roanoke, and Ada Brown, Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services were hold today (Monday) at 11 a. m. at the Oldtown colored church. Interment, under Vaughan-Guynn direction, followed in the Oldtown cemetery.
