AMBROSE PIONEER PASSED AWAY AT MINOT SUNDAY

Mr Davis was born June 22, 1865 in the state of Maine. Later he moved to Grand Meadow, Minn, where he was married. the Davis family came to Twin Butte twp in Divide County in 1908 where they lived on a homestead. Mr Davis retired in 1919 and they moved to Ambrose. Their golden wedding was celebrated in March 1939.
Besides his widow he is survived by a son, Ronello Davis, Jr, Ambrose and 7 grand children and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs Charles Meyers, Ambrose, ND, a daughter, died last April.
Funeral services are being held Thursday afternoon at the Ambrose Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock with Rev Thos Adam officiating. Burial will be made int eh Ambrose cemetery. The Jacobsen Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr Davis until his retirement was active int eh civic affairs of his community and was well liked by all who knew him and the news of his death was regretted by a large circle of old friends and neighbors.
